TANGO is designed in the North East Picnic Boat style to the highest custom build specifications and techniques used today. Construction took 14 months, encompassed over 30,000 man hours and cost just under $1m. She received her builders certification after extensive sea trials in June 2007.

Her unique classic appearance, from the many hand selected Brazilian and Honduran mahogany surfaces to the teak soles, leather and hand worked craftsmanship is unparalleled in yachts her size. She was most recently written about in “sightings” articles in “the Log” magazine — as “the absolute Bentley of boats on Lake Washington”.

The Yacht TANGO was commissioned and is owned by Dave and Alix Despard of Kirkland Washington. She was built to their specifications by San Juan Composites LLC in Anacortes Washington. She is predominantly used for the Despard’s personal use, but is available on a pre arranged basis for personal Lake Washington cruises by the owners for 6 persons or less.

Under her 41 foot shear lines is all high tech, state of the art super yacht construction. From pressure infused core fiberglass to a thick kevlar hull. TANGO is powered by twin Yanmar 500HP turbo diesel engines and capable of speeds in excess of 40 knots (50MPH). She was built with propeller tunnels and 24 inch 4 blade cast bronze props to maneuver in less that 3 feet of water. This allows the owners to take her deep into the best anchorages of Puget Sound.

Electronics and navigation systems typically on yachts three times her size ensure use in any weather. TANGO has been the talk of Lake Washington since her 2007 delivery.
